Items will be donated to local food pantries to restock shelves
Franklin Savings Bank will be collecting non-perishable food items throughout the month of February at each of its eight locations in Boscawen, Bristol, Franklin Gilford, Goffstown, Merrimack and Tilton. Donations to the “Love Your Neighbor” Food Drive will support individuals and families struggling with food insecurity, as well as assist local food pantries with restocking their shelves following the holiday season. Anyone is welcome to stop by any of the bank’s offices to drop off their food donations.
“The need for food donations is stronger than ever given the tightening of supply chains” commented Ron Magoon, President & CEO. “Add in the rising costs for necessities such as groceries, gas and heating fuel and the need only becomes greater for individuals and families in our communities struggling with food insecurity. Most food pantries rely on access to subsidized bulk food purchases and food donations to meet the needs of their community. Our goal is to help them restock shelves to meet the increase in demand.”
